TROPICAL STORM BARBARA FORMS IN THE EASTERN PACIFIC

A new tropical storm has developed strength in the eastern Pacific Ocean. The system, now known as Tropical Storm Barbara, is presently located about 300 miles south of the coast of California. Meteorologists are expecting that Barbara will continue to strengthen over the next few days. The storm is heading northwestward at a rate of 10 mph.
